Orange Egypt announces its official sponsorship of the fifth edition of the Cairo International Arts District (CIAD) Fair, organized by Art D’Égypte, a CulturVator initiative. The fair unfolds across historic venues in Khedivial Cairo from October 12 to November 16, featuring innovative works by over 150 local and international artists, complemented by an extensive program of cultural activities and cutting-edge art projects.
This sponsorship underscores Orange Egypt’s steadfast commitment to supporting art, culture, and community engagement, alongside its continuous efforts to foster innovation and enrich social and cultural value through initiatives that integrate art and society.
Orange Egypt takes pride in supporting this prominent cultural event by providing comprehensive communication services to promote the exhibition and ensure a seamless, efficient experience for artists, organizers, and visitors throughout its duration.
The event unfolds across several restored heritage sites such as Villa Victoria, Villa Violet, Welad El Balad, the rooftop of the Shorbagy Building, and Kodak Alley, each representing historical architectural landmarks that have been revitalized in the heart of downtown Cairo.
In partnership with UNESCO, Orange Egypt supports the “Art Mentors” program, organized as part of the exhibition’s activities. The program engages art students, university students, and individuals passionate about creativity, aiming to promote cultural exchange and highlight Egypt’s rich heritage to the world. It provides participants with an immersive, hands-on experience in contemporary art and opportunities for direct interaction with international artists. Upon completion, participants are awarded official certificates of appreciation in recognition of their contributions.
The program also features a series of initiatives, including educational lectures, digital art seminars, and organized school and university visits. These initiatives form part of a comprehensive vision designed to make the arts more accessible and inclusive, reflecting the diversity and cultural expression of societies.
On this occasion, Maha Nagy, Chief Communications Officer at Orange Egypt, commented:
“At Orange, we believe that art is the language of the future, and that technology and art together create a more creative reality”.
“We are proud to continue supporting initiatives such as the Cairo International Art District, reflecting our commitment to empowering young artists and providing them with opportunities to share their talent and creativity with audiences both locally and globally.
“Through these efforts, we aim to further strengthen Egypt’s position as a vibrant cultural hub in the region and on the world stage.”
Orange has previously supported the “Le Printemps des Artistes” art and charity exhibition for the third consecutive year, an annual event held under the patronage of the French Embassy in Egypt. This year’s edition brought together more than 79 artists from Egypt and around the world in a celebration of creativity and social solidarity.
Proceeds from the exhibition were directed to “Samusocial International Égypte”, a non-governmental organization committed to protecting and rehabilitating street children and young women in Cairo.
Through its continued support of such initiatives, Orange Egypt reaffirms its steadfast commitment to art, culture, and social responsibility, reflecting its firm belief in the power of art to generate a positive impact on society.
It is also noteworthy that, for the first time, the Cairo International Arts District Exhibition features South Korea as its guest of honor. Sponsored by the Korea Foundation for International Cultural Exchange (KOFICE), the exhibition showcases six of South Korea’s most prominent contemporary artists, celebrating three decades of cultural and diplomatic relations between Egypt and South Korea.
