The Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) successfully concluded its Employment Fair at the technology park in Borg El-Arab, Alexandria, on Tuesday, December 17. The event aimed to connect young talent from Alexandria and neighboring governorates with job opportunities in Egypt’s rapidly growing Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector.
Marking its fifteenth edition, the Employment Fair underscores ITIDA’s commitment to bridging the gap between skilled talent and the increasing demand for ICT professionals. The initiative plays a crucial role in driving Egypt’s digital economy, fostering investment in local talent, and enhancing their global competitiveness.
The event featured over 1,350 job opportunities in offshoring services, including Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) and IT services, provided by 14 leading local and MNCs companies, such as VOIS (Vodafone Intelligent Solutions), Concentrix, Intelcia, Teleperformance, VXI, Arab Computers, Business Link Solutions, ST Smart, Objects, Geidea, Tech Hive, DB Group, Spiritude, and Rubical. Several ICT industry NGOs, including DETGD, EITESAL, and CIT, also actively participated in the event.
The event attracted significant interest, with 1,670 young professionals registering and over 350 attending in person. To ensure accessibility, ITIDA, in collaboration with Silicon Waha—a leading joint-stock company specializing in developing and managing technology parks—provided free transportation from Alexandria city to the technology park, facilitating participation for students, graduates, and job seekers.
In addition to job-matching opportunities, the event included specialized workshops, career guidance sessions, and professional development activities, focusing on essential skills such as personal branding, language proficiency, and technical expertise. These sessions were delivered by industry experts and leaders from top-tier companies.
ITIDA remains dedicated to organinzing and supporting employment fairs across Egypt, leveraging the country’s rich talent pool, and aligning local skills with global market needs. These efforts aim to empower Egyptian youth, raise career awareness, and drive sustainable growth in Egypt’s dynamic ICT sector.
